Event Background

Our a.i. solutions engineers are experts at building software products for the space industry. To participate in the industry however, we are finding the need to be able to have our software products process data at scale. Meridian is tackling this challenge head on by solving both problems in a single solution: flight dynamics data processing at scale. In this talk, Scott will walk through the fundamental challenge of switching from a vertical to a horizontal architecture and describe how producing software with horizontal scale in mind allows our team to create advanced, automated, massive-processing solutions ready to handle large scale constellation missions.

Who are the Speakers?

Scott Lowe: Meridian Product Manager, leading the design, development, and evolution of Meridian—a large-scale flight dynamics ground system supporting mission-critical space operations. With a foundation in the creative arts and extensive experience developing ground systems across multiple missions, he brings a unique perspective to complex system architecture, emphasizing clarity, usability, and human-centered design. His work focuses on transforming intricate aerospace challenges into intuitive, scalable solutions that strengthen the human–machine experience.

Christopher Ulrich: Space Products Account Executive on the FreeFlyer team at a.i. solutions. He also helps lead the business’s digital marketing and content creation. Chris holds a Master of Science in Space Operations from Embry-Riddle University, where he worked under Dr. Andrew Aldrin. He is pursuing a Master of Space Systems Engineering from ERAU and a Space Resources Certification from the Colorado School of Mines. After joining a.i. solutions in 2023, he has been working to pair flight dynamics software and services with customer needs across Civil, Commercial, and Academia.
