Tracking Data File Formats

Tracking data comes in many different formats, depending on factors such as data type and the observing system (DSN, USN, TDRS). FreeFlyer currently supports the native reading and writing of several tracking data formats:

BlackJack Point Solution File	Read/Write	An ASCII file of Point Solution data as put out by the BlackJack GPS receiver
BRTS UTDF File	Read only	The 75-byte binary Universal Tracking Data format
DSN 60-Byte Observation File	Read only	A GSFC internal 60-byte binary format
FF Ground Observation File	Read/Write	A simple ASCII file used by FreeFlyer
GPS Pivot Point Solution File	Read/Write	An ASCII file of Point Solution data as put out by the Pivot GPS receiver
Rinex Obs File	Read/Write	An ASCII file of GNSS Pseudorange data conforming to the RINEX standard
Spacecraft Observation File	Read/Write	A simple ASCII file used by FreeFlyer
TDRS UTDF File	Read only	The 75-byte binary Universal Tracking Data format
TRK-2-34 File	Read only	A binary format for DSN data
UTDF File	Read only	The 75-byte binary Universal Tracking Data format
