FileInterface.Write Method

Writes the specified arguments to the file stream. If a variable argument is written, this method returns a 1 if the write was successful or a 0 if unsuccessful. If a string argument is written, this method returns the number of characters written to the file.

This page describes functionality in millisecond timing precision mode. Millisecond timing precision mode is deprecated and will be removed in a future release. We recommend that you migrate your Mission Plans to nanosecond timing precision mode.

FileInterface.Write(String stringToWrite)	Variable	Writes the contents of stringToWrite to the file stream. Returns the number of characters (or bytes if the FileInterface is in binary mode) written to the stream.
FileInterface.Write(Variable variableToWrite)	Variable	Writes the value of variableToWrite as a floating point number to the file stream. Returns a 1 if the write was successful or a 0 if unsuccessful.
FileInterface.Write(String stringToWrite, Variable numberOfCharacters)	Variable	Writes the first numberOfCharacters (or bytes if the FileInterface is in binary mode) from stringToWrite to the file stream, and returns the number of characters (or bytes) written to the stream.
