Description

Computes the numeric sign of the specified value.

 

Timing Precision Mode

Description:

The value whose numeric sign will be returned.

number

 

 

The numeric sign of the specified value.

 

Syntax

myVariable1 = sign(myVariable2);

 

 

Example 1

This example calculates the sign of two values.

 

Variable a = sign(5);

Variable b = sign(-9);

 

Report a, b;

 

 

Output:

 

a

   1.000000000

b
